The Story Behind Inside Out Fitness
Inside Out Fitness has never been about physical results; it's about building sustainable habits that become second nature, and watching the physical benefits come as a side effect!
Founded by Ryan, Inside Out Fitness aims to change attitudes towards health and fitness. Long gone are the days when fitness is used solely to look good in front of the mirror – people are now choosing to exercise to release endorphins in order to feel better, then enjoying the physical changes as a secondary impact.
Here’s what Ryan has to say:
I live with mental health issues. That phrase used to be “I suffer with mental health”.
It has taken me years to learn how to gain control over my mental health, and 80% of that is down to health and fitness.
I am passionate about the strong link between structured exercise programmes and the positive effects on mental health. Does that mean I don’t care about aesthetics? No, of course not – I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t. But what it does mean is that I exercise to feel better, not to look better. Following a structured but sustainable health and fitness programme gives me power over my mental health, which gives me the motivation to exercise, even when I don’t want to. It is that discipline that creates the aesthetic benefits as a side-effect. That is the mindset I pass on to all of the Inside Out Fitness Team.
